AI-assisted grading platform for higher education — part of Turnitin.
Gradescope is an online platform that lets instructors deliver and grade assessments of any type. It supports variable‑length assignments such as problem sets and projects, as well as fixed‑template formats like worksheets, quizzes, bubble sheets, and exams. Instructors can grade paper‑based, digital, and code submissions without altering the original assignment, often in half the time. The tool offers one‑click feedback, rubric changes that retroactively apply, and question‑and rubric‑level statistics that can be exported. Graded work can be returned instantly, and regrade requests are handled online. Answer groups and AI‑assisted grading let educators grade similar responses together, with AI automatically forming groups for certain question types. Gradescope is built by instructors and used by over 140,000 educators. A free Basic plan is available, while additional features require an Institutional plan.
